America West was a strong supporter of several sports teams located near its hub operations and it was in fact one of these agreements which kicked off its repainting of its 757s into special schemes. The airline had signed a marketing agreement with the Phoenix Suns basketball team as early as 1989, which renamed their new stadium the America West Arena. It was their colours which were the first to be adopted, upon N907AW, and for many years the team flew an America West 737-100 for their away fixtures. It was the first of three sports team tie-ups, however the second special scheme adopted celebrated America West Airlines and its employees and was named Teamwork...

They returned her in April 1994 and she rejoined AWA with her original rego but was painted into special Phoenix Suns Baseball colours. She was repainted in 2003 and passed to US Airways in 2005. She was again returned to her lessor in 2006 and became TF-LLZ with Icelandair. N602RC was one of six 757s delivered new to Republic and taken on by AWA in 1987. She was originally delivered on 6th December 1985 and merged into Northwest’s fleet in October 1986. She became N902AW in November 1987 five months after delivery to AWA. In August 1994 she was painted in special teamwork colours designed by Ann Rogan, daughter of pilot John Rogan. This was updated in June 2000, following an employee contest, with a new Teamwork Coast to Coast scheme displaying landmarks in States served by HP. It continued to wear this scheme until February 2007 by which time AWA had been merged into US Airways. The frame is now part of the American Airlines fleet following the US/AA merger. In a nice touch after 9/11 the Twin Towers, which featured on the aircraft's rear, gained a large US flag.
