Aeroflot Group Genealogy

In November 2011 all state owned airlines were officially merged under Aeroflot's ownership. Rossiya operates primarily from St Petersburg, Orenair is largely a charter airline whilst the new Aurora (replacing KMV, SAT and Vladivostok Avia) is a far eastern operation. Saratov Airlines has subsequently been sold into private ownership. Not shown on this diagram is Aeroflot's abortive LCC startup Dobrolet which was closed down by EU sanctions surrounding Russian actions in Ukraine only a few months after starting operations in 2014.
