FantasyWings are a Hong Kong based model retailer that since 2019 has branched out to produce its own range of high quality ground service equipment and airport structures in both 200 and 400 scale. They are one of few brands producing this sort of equipment and are easily the largest manufacturer of GSE, which is of a very high standard.
Their product range ranges widely from passengers to vehicles to airport buildings and runway sections. They can be purchased direct from the FantasyWings site or through a wide variety of diecast model retailers. In this review I'll take a look at the Passenger & Cargo GSE Sets they have produced for your model airport apron.

FWDP-PS-4001 PASSENGER SET A

Passenger Set A consists of 6 vehicles and a towed generator unit. The vehicles bear a striking resemblance to the classic Dragon Wings passenger set, which is now almost impossible to find. For my review of that old set see:
The new FantasyWings version is undoubtedly superior as although it shares the general shape of the Dragon Wings set it has more finely crafted moulds (especially the food truck) and a lot more printed detailing.
The generator is an all new piece but is a little out of place with the rest since none of the vehicles have a tow bar. Nonetheless, in combination with other passenger sets from FantasyWings this collection creates some excellent detailing for any airport diorama. |
FWDP-CG-4003 CARGO ADD-ON SET
The cargo add-on set, as its name suggests, goes best with the other FantasyWings cargo sets (see below) since it doesn't include any loaders or airport vehicles. What it does include is 10 varied containers and a pair of sports cars on pallets. Once again the detail of this all die-cast set is very good and it looks impressive next to your ferighters.
