Indonesia, like Taiwan, has a flourishing interest in diecast airliners that in recent years has put Europe to shame. Not only is there Airshop Diecast but there is also Harry's Diecast, who have been making retailer exclusives for even longer using the brand name MP4 Models. Harry's Diecast is a Jakarta based store that have made their models in partnership with JC Wings and Panda Models. I believe the owner hasn't been in good health recently, which may account for Google suggesting the store is temporarily closed, however the MP4 brand has been active into late 2023 in both 200 and 400 scale.

400 Production: 2014-2020

MP4 started their relationship with JC Wings in 2014 with a twinpack of Wings Air ATRs. The models are hard to find outside of Indonesia and of the 13 models I know they have made 6 have formed part of 3 twin packs (Bouraq MD-80s, Lion Air 737-800s and Wings Air ATRs). All the twinpacks are JC Wings moulds but more recently MP4 has switched towards Panda Models as its main supplier.

400 Scale MP4 Releases

The most interesting models they have made to my eye are the recent pair of Bouraq Indonesia MD-80s and the Adam Air 737-300.

400 Production: 2022-Present

After a pause in production of retailer exclusives, presumably linked to the Pandemic, MP4 restarted exclusive production in 2022 with a recent quartet of nice modern subjects. These dovetail well with the recent Airshop Diecast releases and I own the 3 airliner versions.

There has also been a different colourscheme release of the Indonesian government 737-800, complete with add-on aerials.

200 Scale Production

MP4 have also produced at least 1 1:200 scale model in the form of the Garuda Explore ATR-72 PK-GAE. This was made in 2015.

The most recent release has also been 200 scale and features an Indonesian Air Force F28. This was released in November 2023.
