Just to remind you of the layout of Xin Long terminal 2 it consists of 3 piers as above. Below you can see the two main piers with airbridges fitted. For the J shaped pier you can see there are several swing gates capable of handling either two narrowbodies or a single widebody. As you can see it all looks a bit clean and there are no gate markings. The fininshing touches involved using a soft pencil to create apron dirt and oil markings, plus the addition of gate numbering and aircraft position markings. I also used a pencil on the Gemini airbridges to make them look dirtier. Below is the affect on the J pier: The impact on the longer L shaped pier was even better I think: My hope is that with this new layout I can do some better quality photography although it needs me to practice with aperture priority photos. Hopefully I can improve on this kind of thing: I've also got a new Ipad so hopefully some videos will be forthcoming as well. You'll note from below that the area around the smallest rear pier at the right (let's call it the I pier) still needs some work and that area of the airport will be the focus of the next update.
