It came to my attention today (thanks JJ Skippy) that there is a new name on the 400 scale scene branded as EU Models. There has been a proliferation recently of new brands but these have mainly used others to make their models and been focused on Asia or the USA. EU Models is different - it will focus on Europe and make its own moulds. Read on to learn more...
In September I received my first YRD Model Antonov An-225 and was quite pleased with it considering it was plastic not diecast, and a lot cheaper than the Herpa edition. Now YRD have gone one further and produced the An-225 with the Buran shuttle attached.
It's not often I get to say nice things about Gemini Jets, but even though the latest release sets are delayed in the shipping mess photos from China suggest the new interactive 747-400 is a triumph. Here are some photos hot of the taobao press.
HYJLwings is a brand I've been interested in right from the start, due to my interest in Chinese airliners. They commissioned the 200 scale CRJ and 400 scale A321 moulds that NG Models now uses and between 2019 and the brand's return in mid-2020 it does seem that there has been change (not the least being a new logo) and that HYJL may now be a subline of NG entirely. Nonetheless they are still producing new releases.
Just recently I've seen a new brand coming onto the market in 400 scale with a trio of Cathay Pacific models. The brand has been advertised as both J.Fox and Inflight 400 but the boxes say on them that they are by Baby Toyss (and that isn't a typo). Who and what are they? Let's take a look.
