The West Pier connector itself sits next to the main terminal and joins it to the West pier skirting around an A320 / 737NG capable gate as you can see in the bird's eye view below:
As you can see below the connector towers over narrowbody aircraft as I wanted the modern office block style feel for it:
Painting balsa is dead easy and in this case used Tamiya XF-53:
I decided to use the same style windows as the piers have, which give the building a huge glazed area and no doubt a light airy feeling inside :).
Taken from this angle this part of the airport looks almost complete, however there's still plenty of work left to be done. Here a Xiamen 737-700 is visiting:
