Panda Models - March Releases

Panda have been quiet over the Chinese New Year period with only the announcement of their annual CNY fantasy model. However March finds them back on stream and announcing a faimilar line up of Airbus twinjets. Once again China predominates but Panda returns to Lufthansa for some more A320s too.

For anyone who missed it Chinese New Year this year was 'Year of the Dog' so it is no surprise that the Panda CNY model features a doggy scheme - this time on an ARJ-21. Last year's was a 737MAX and the year befores an A320:

CA Fleet Builders

This month there are 5 Air Chinas including a pair of A320neos and a trio of A330-200s. Really there are just two models but five different registration versions. Nothing particularly special but nice enough if you collect CA aircraft.

The models are all out already and is it me or does it look like Panda have modified the nosegear of the A320 to finally fix the long running tiny tyres issue?

Snickers A330

Slightly more interesting is a half special livery from China Eastern for Snickers chocolate bars on an A330-300. I say half special since the special colours are only present on the port side of the aircraft:

Lastly but I imagine the releases most interesting those outside China are a quartet of Lufthansa A320s in the now old livery. All ceos rather than neos all four sport special schemes from the football nose to 5 Star Fanhansa to Munich Airport 25th anniversary. I get the feeling these'll be good sellers and hard to find soon:
