HYJLwingsI wrote last about HYJLwings in March 2022 and at the time I surmised that they were nowadays just a sub-brand of NG Models. It turns out I was wrong and I actually out of the blue received a phone call from their owner Yijiale (Jelly) Huang in June who was interested in connecting with retailers outside of China to grow his brand. He told me that he is interested in producing a wider geographic range of models again and I know he has a Canadian connection. For my previous post on these releases see: In the meantime the models announced in March are largely out and available for purchase via taobao stores at least. Those models included the following China Southern A321s:
Of these the two standards scheme versions are out. It looks like these may use the HYJLwings mould rather than the newer NG Models mould. It is a little hard to tell. The other China Southern model announced was an A350 marking the first usage of the NG Models A350 by HYJLwings and the first China Southern release using the mould. Produced in only 199 units it looks pretty good but I admit I won't be replacing my Aviation400 version. The last pair of releases are both Air China Boeing 737-800s. Not exactly unusual but nonetheless bread and butter for the Chinese market:
Yu ModeLsYu ModeL have been taking an eclectic path with their releases. They have mainly produced Chinese airliners but also shown a strong interest in Soviet types. The brand has been about now for a few years, but this year they have started producing a lot more and now have 3 models outstanding with two recent announcements. I reported back in April about the upcoming JC Wings originated China Xinjiang IL-86 and to read about that and my previous Yu posts see here: The majority of Yu's releases have used Aeroclassics moulds and one of the two new announcements does also. This is a China Southern A300-600F: The second and new announcement is an A321 in the colours of China Northern, which interestingly uses the HYJLwings A321 rather than the Aeroclassics version. I asked Yu ModeLs about this and they said: "The A321 is cooperate with HYJL, they have the best mould of A321" That is common sense but it is good to see they are making decisions like this.
