The IL-18 was a contemporary of the Britannia, Vanguard and Electra as one of the few big turboprops to see the light in the period when pure jets were beginning to take hold. In 400 scale the type has received more attention in recent years so I have updated this wishlist to reflect recent production. Even so, there remains a decent number of possibilities for the type. Read on for a look at what is left to be made.
Aeroclassics and Yu ModeL have to date made 27 IL-18s using its fine mould for the type but there remains significant material for future Coot production:
The type saw wide service among the Warsaw Pact nations and other Soviet allies in Cuba and a surprisingly wide number of African nations. Here are 24 further options for the type.

With suitable modification to the base mould it would be possible to produce the Il-20M ELINT, IL-22 Airborne Command Post and even the Il-38 May Sub-hunter.

Air Guinee, Air Mali and Aero Caribbean would be stellar. That said, this post made me realize that both Ghana Airways and Cubana operated IL-18s and Bristol Britannias! Wouldn't that be exciting to model? A Britannias and IL-18 in the same livery? Wow! We're they operated at the same time? We're there any other airlines that flew both?
