The trouble with extra shelves is you need special fixings to connect to the metal frame to allow the shelf to sit on. Fortunately these examples come with the necessary fixings, which although a bit fiddly, are easy to fit. The result is that I have been able to double the number of shelves in the cabinet for a low price and the models display a lot better. The cabinet in question contains models wearing manufacturer house colours and was seriously short on space, but now has some extra room. Below: The updated cabinet with perspex shelves in positions 1, 3 and 5: If you have Detolf cabinets I can highly recommend this approach.

I did exactly the same some years ago and I'm also not an expert on such things, but it was fairly easy - and rewarding to effectively double your "ramp space".
