My 1:400 Scale Model Aircraft Collection
My initial collecting in 1:400 scale focused on the regulated era of the United States (1930s-1978). This naturally led to a focus on the Trunk and Local service airlines but with scope for the Territorial, Intra-State and Supplemental carriers too. Gradually my collection expanded into the deregulated era and then, to increase the diversity of the models I could buy, also to the UK. From there it was a short hop across to collecting other global classics. Most recently I have delved into the modern Russian and Chinese marketplaces as I have started investigating the huge changes that have occurred in these areas within the past 30 years. So nowadays I collect mostly classics but with a sprinkling of Russian and Chinese modern aircraft too.
