Dowse National Airport - Posing as Miami c.1970
Below are a series of photos depicting Dowse National pretending to be Miami in about 1970. The airlines, aircraft and liveries in these photos are authentic to traffic at Miami in the year represented. The major airlines present are Eastern and National with a presence of Braniff, Delta, Northeast, Northwest Orient, TWA and United. By 1970 the Eastern fleet is in the New Mark / White Hockeystick whilst National's wears the un King / Instant Florida and Northeast has two more years of Yellowbirds left. Braniff still wears the first Flying Colors scheme, TWA the Twin Globes and United the Mainliner.
