The Shanghai Airplane Model Exhibition and Sales Fair is underway in China running across August 16/17th at the Gubeiwan Hotel. I wish I was there, but sadly it's a bit far to go! Several of the new Chinese brands have tables present - including C Model, Patriot Models, YU ModeL and HX Models. Thanks to friends I have been provided with some photos from the show, which not only show off new releases but also new mould samples too!
Thanks to Dang Tung and others for the info in this report!
HX have already announced they too will be making the delivery colours (also being made by NG Models and JC Wings):
If you aren't aware of who HX Models are then please watch my Youtube Video as it looks like they will become a significant new brand in the scale:
On their table there is a variety of new moulds, such as an Ilyushin Il-76 and Sukhoi Su-27 in 200 scale, but in 400 scale if you are eagle eyed you'll notice other new 400 scale moulds!
They include a new 400 scale Airbus A380:
And both normal, flaps down and interactive versions of the MD-11! The moulds look like they are still at the development stage as they lack the landing gear but they already look impressive. This comes only a short while after Panda Models themselves announced a new MD-11 version!
I haven't seen their table at the show but in 400 scale they have recently announced that they are using the HX Models 747 mould for a couple of non-airline releases, which look like they are quite close to release.
In 200 scale they have been working on their own Tu-134UBL and Mil Mi 8 Hip helicopter moulds:
Also evident on the table in the middle are the latest releases from Yu. A pair of C-46 Commandos, using the Aeroclassics mould, in the colours of CAAC / PLAAF. The one with cheatlines is registered as 214 and named 'Guang Zhou':
The other is registered 202 and named 'Shang Hai':
