It's all under control honest! In the past two days two sizeable boxes have arrived following their transit from California to Auckland containing part of my bounty from the 'Collection Sale to beat all Collection Sales' that my dealer Mr Warfel over at Waffle Collectables has been throwing.
Rather scarily given my already rather excessive spending on 1/400s this isn't even everything I've ordered and merely represents 2/3 of what I have purchased.
The good news is that if there wasn't already a sizeable backlog of new blogposts in the wings there are 29 more here and another 10 on the way. So what's in this bunch - well I'll keep the exact identities a surprise however the breakdown by nation is as shown on the left. I've been pleased to see plenty of aircraft for sale from Latin America and as you can see 6 Latin nations are represented including my first aircraft from Bolivia.
By aircraft type it is a tie for first place between the A320 and 727 families but there are a surprising number of 767s too. There's plenty of variety though with only my 3rd Ilyushin IL-18 and a sprinkling of the usual classics.
It's been a great sale and I'd like to thank Waffle for making so many great aircraft available at such good prices (only 1 of the models was over $35). I hope everybody else got some great models they desired and that 'Steve' didn't nab your 'BEA Comet and Nordair 737'! :)
